This is based on our findings that 54% of past winners have been female. Additionally, 31% of Bake Off winners are from Yorkshire and the Humber which is higher than any other region. 46% are aged 30-35 which is the most common age bracket, and 31% of winners had a medical or scientific background, which is the most common profession amongst winning contestants.
In terms of performance on the show, 80% of Great British Bake Off winners received one Hollywood handshake during their time on the show, in a series where there were Hollywood Handshakes were available (there were none in the first season!).

One video depicting his time on the show has amassed 5.5 million views and there are over 6,000 YouTube searches for “James Acaster Bake Off” in the UK each month.
