Alliance have achieved ISO 14001 certification
On the 22nd of September this year we achieved certification confirming our ISO 14001 accreditation. We are immensely proud of the company and everyone who was involved in working towards the accreditation.
We have always looked to try and improve the way we operate where green policies are concerned with some of the initiatives we have implemented including:
- Installing solar panels on Alliance owned buildings across the Alliance business network
- Purchase of electric vehicles
- Improved fleet management and planning
- Waste Disposal & Reduction
- Paperless Invoicing & Marketing
- UK Sourced Products wherever possible
The environment and our operational impact on our environment has always been a central part of the Alliance ethos, which is why the ISO 14001 is viewed so importantly and as such a high achievement by the company as a whole.
The ISO 14001 accreditation is generally regarded as the most widely recognised environmental management system standard in the world. The standard ensures an accredited company has successfully demonstrated the following:
- A commitment to controlling the environmental impact of its operations.
- An understanding and maintained compliance with environmental legislation.
- Reviewing and improving the potential environmental benefit of its products or services.
- Having a clear and well outlined environmental management system.
At Alliance we have worked tirelessly over the last couple of years to ensure we meet this standard and have all the parameters in place in order to meet the high standards set by the International Organisations for Standardisation.
This now marks our second ISO accreditation with us already having ISO 9001 certification.
