What is “Super Vitrified” Crockery?

Posted by Mark in Crockery on 23 June 09

This is a question we often get asked by customers looking to buy crockery.

When crockery is vitrified, the surface is made shiny and nonporous by fusing a vitreous (or glassy) solution to it. This improves the strength and ability of the porcelain to maintain good presentation under heavy use over long periods of time.

You will notice vitrified crockery is of a higher quality than standard crockery by it’s smoother, flatter finish. This higher quality glaze finish also contributes to the dishwasher and metal marking resistance of the crockery.

In catering environments, this is especially important as presentation reflects the quality of your business in the eyes of your customers. Instead of wasting money on replacing chipped or damaged tableware you can concentrate on what really matters to your business.

We stock many vitrified ranges here on Alliance Online. Some examples include…

Plain White Crockery
Churchill Chefs Choice Crockery
Dudson Classic White Crockery
